Broken or Foggy Glass? Replace the Glass, Keep the Door
-
Most broken sliding glass doors and windows don't need a whole new unit. If the frame and track are still good, we replace just the glass, usually for a fraction of the price of a new door. Here's how replacing only the glass works.
Glass We Replace
-
Cracked or shattered sliding door glass. Sliding glass doors use tempered safety glass. We replace the panel with new tempered glass sized to your door.
-
Foggy double-pane glass. Fog between the panes means the seal has failed and moisture got in. It can't be cleaned from the inside. We replace the sealed glass unit and keep your frame.
-
Window glass. Single-pane and double-pane glass in sliding, single-hung and fixed windows.
-
Impact glass. Hurricane-rated glass for doors and windows. More on impact sliding door repair.
Window Repair in Central Florida
-
Glass isn't the only thing that goes wrong with a window. We also fix:
-
Windows that won't stay up. Usually a broken balancer. Here's why a window won't stay up.
-
Leaks and drafts. Failed seals and worn weatherstripping let rain and hot air in. See why sliding doors and windows leak when it rains.
-
Sliding windows that stick or won't lock. New rollers or a new latch fix most of them in one visit.
-
Corroded frames. Florida's salt air and humidity eat at older aluminum frames. If the frame is past saving, we'll tell you.
Replace the Glass or the Whole Door?
-
Replace the glass when the frame, track and rollers are in good shape. Replace the door when the frame is bent, cracked or badly corroded. We'll tell you which one you need before we start. Read more on repair vs. replace, or see typical costs in our 2026 Central Florida repair price index.
-
If the door also drags or grinds, ask us to check the rollers while we're there. A heavy new glass panel on worn rollers wears out the track.
